Gerald was born in Miami, FL where he attended American Senior High and Miami Dade Junior College. He has been married to Estherlena Jones for 33 years. They have two sons, three daughters, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Gerald worked 27 years for the City of Hollywood Public Utilities Department. He is semi-retired and now works for the City of Hallandale in the same field. He has been a minister for 18 years and is currently serving as lead pastor for the Ridgeway Church of God of Prophecy in Miami, FL.  

His desire is to serve people and help those in need.
